Telly is a voice-first AI survey platform where an AI interviewer asks questions out loud, follows up based on what each respondent says, and turns every conversation into a summary and transcript.

Every survey you've ever filled out has asked you to flatten something complicated into a number. Rate your day from 1 to 5. How satisfied are you, on a scale of 1 to 10? You pick a 3, or a 7, and move on, and everything that actually mattered about your answer disappears.

That number tells whoever's asking almost nothing. A 3 could mean "it was fine, unremarkable." It could mean "it started terribly and recovered." It could mean "one specific thing went wrong and I can't stop thinking about it." Same score, completely different realities, and a traditional survey can't tell them apart. It captures that you felt something, never what or why.

The irony is that people are usually happy to explain. Ask someone why their day was a 3 and they'll tell you: the meeting that ran long, the small win nobody noticed, the thing they wish had gone differently. The detail is right there. Standard surveys just have no way to ask the follow-up, so all of it goes unspoken and unrecorded.
